generation.
This seems to be like the metaphorical family quilt; the way in which families sew the future before them based on the ideals and beliefs they pass down to the next generation. The idea of the antique and fragile comes to mind, how do you protect these ideas from the ever changing world, or is about letting it become something new with the flow of time

ReplyDeleteVery interesting thoughts about antiquity and history. The family tree becomes an essential representation of the self and the necessary care that should be taken to protect it could be translated to a visually and emotionally project.

Excellent concept. The idea of collecting and preserving the history of your kin could be developed in many ways. The concept strikes me as something that could be interactive somehow, a re-imagining of the traditional family tree and representation of bloodline. Different avenues such as the addition of stepparents, animals, etc...Hierarchy within the family could also encourage the methodology.

I am always fascinated by the origin of things, especially words. The rediscovery of ones family beginnings lends substantial validity to ones own self worth.
